Graphic Design
- Created 8’ x 7’ exhibit for Frederick County Emergency Management Services Director. Exhibit was commissioned to coincide with the commemoration activities of the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. Exhibit showcased the involvement of Frederick County Fire Department in aiding the Union Soldiers during the Gettysburg Battle. Project entailed working with many historical photos, often not in the best of shape to be enlarged on an exhibit. Project involved many hours of photo manipulation to correct cracks, tears, and discoloration of images. Exhibit is currently located in the Emmitsburg Fire Museum.
- Created an e-learning training module using Adobe Captivate, for the General Services Administration on “The Basics of Stormwater Runoff”. Included narration and quizzes. Training module was SCORM and 508 compliant.
- Designed Annual Report for HHS Indian Health Service. File was delivered electronically and included bookmarks and links throughout. Final deliverable was 508 compliant. Also created a version that was to be printed and saddle-stitched.
- Created educational poster for National Park Service, Climate Friendly Parks. Part of communication and outreach to be posted in Park offices.
- Created an interactive form for National Park Service client. Form was a survey and final results were emailed to the client upon submission.
- Created new design and layout for an electronically delivered newsletter for Department of Energy (DOE). New layout had a more modern current look.
- For DOE client, created 147-page book of various Alaska Coal Fields.
- Delivers a variety of design and layout projects, digital and print, as a freelance designer.
- Provides volunteer graphic design services to a non-profit environmental group.
- Led project planning, assigned projects, managed quality assurance and ensured contract requirements and deadlines were met.
- Through research of software and training of team, converted a small word-processing department into a graphic design shop using state-of-the-art industry standard software. This resulted in the company having the ability to compete in government proposals of a more sophisticated and diverse nature.
- Researched company lease of Digital press. This entailed product research, cost-per-copy analysis, demos, and sample production of files and artwork of various digital machines. Provided recommendations to upper management.
